We've been spinning since 1989! Escape Velocity Cycling Club is for riders of all levels and abilities who share a commitment to improving their performance. For many years we have been the primary organizer of bike racing in the Lower Mainland and we proudly support one of the premier youth cycling development programs in the country.
ESCAPE VELOCITY OFFERS ITS MEMBERS:

Escape Velocity KALAS jersey is included with membership.

We offer structured rides two to three times per week with trained ride leaders/coaches. We cater to riders of different abilities and fitness levels. Our rides feature structured drills to improve fitness, group riding skills, and racing tactics.

The Escape Velocity Non-Profit Society was founded in 1989 and has been a staple of the Lower-Mainland’s cycling scene since then.
Membership is $200.
We also offer the option of an 'Associate Membership' for previous ADULT EV CLUB members who have moved away or do not wish to commit to a full membership.
This $50 'Associate Member' option is a great way to remain connected to the club.
The benefits of Associate Membership include:

access to select club deals such a the Kalas kit store.
This membership does not allow for one to participate in regular group rides. However, if you wish to 'drop in' on a ride (up to a maximum of two sessions) you are welcome as long as you have a current CBC licence and notify the Ride Leaders. Otherwise a Cycling BC licence is not required for this membership.
This membership does not allow for voting rights and does not include a club jersey.

We are a non-profit bike club dedicated to sustaining three streams: organizing fitness oriented club rides, fostering youth cycling development and supporting the local race scene.

Following the LTAD model, our vision is to develop a club of enthusiastic, fitness oriented, and high performance cyclists.
